sebenza vs. buck 110?

Yeah, but the Lingenfelter Corvette will run 200+ mph. But if you are talking about a Chevy truck, I see your point.

I don't have a Sebenza but I have a 110 in BG42 that is pretty sweet. It's kind'a a "sleeper" like the Lingenfelter Vette.

if ya break a buck knife, send it back to them and they will replace/fix free, no questions asked - i sent back a 501 that was 25+ yrs old and totally trashed - had broken the lock mechanism somehow, and broke the tip off the blade - it sat in a drawer for over 20 years - i found it, and thought WTF its worth a try, and right now i have a brand new 1 in the safe w/the rest of my knives - ya cant stand behind your product any nore than buck IMHO - no complaints from vet about buck knives believe me,,,,,,,

Had a Sebenza..traded it, Had a Buck 110, still got it and 8 more! The variations are really cool. My 110 FG in BG42 w/Edge 2000 holds a great edge and is a real workhorse. Now I want a BG42 110 with buffalo scales.

I've been carrying my small Sebbie for the last week after a long hiatus and have really been enjoying it again. I did use it for one particularly hard cutting chore- cutting out the BOTTOM of a one liter bottle, hard as iron- and it performed amazingly well. I definitely could have broken off a 110 doing that. Great knife and well worth the guidas.

C'mon folks, set the two next to each other and if price isn't an issue then the Sebenza is better. I'd wager that CRK does a better job heat treating BG-42. The edge geometery on the sebenza is arguably better. The titanium slabs and lock are stronger than the brass(?) and stainless on the Buck. The sebenza's pivot is adjustable and the entire knife can be torn down for cleaning.

If you have money to spare, if you're a long time collector that's built up a pile of knives or you simply enjoy working with tools that are made and finished better than they need to be then the Sebenza is a better knife.

As soon as cost becomes an issue the 110 is far and away the better knife. Me, I'd forget the 110 and Sebenza use the $300+ for the Sebenza to get a Spyderco Starmate, a Busse Basic #5, a Sharpmaker and a Value Meal #3.

Ghecko, are you out of your flippin' mind ?!? Coming in here, like Mr. Know-it-all, what kind of trouble are your trying to stir up? Hear me loud & clear - the Value Meal #2 is far and away the best! To compare it to the others is just silly. And don't get me started on the whole "Super Size" debate!
