Does the Sebenza use perforated bronze alloy washers (to hold grease and reduce slip)? I had a older Sebenza and the washers were not perforated. Is CRK using a new style washer?

Opinions will vary but IMO the washer retrofit is not worth sending the knife back to CRK for unless other work is wanted/needed. YMMV... As a side note, I don't think there's any specific bright-line date for the changeover in the large and small Sebs (but I think we did hear that they were different dates for large vs. small).
I bought a small Sebenza that had been upgraded to the new washers and IMHO it is not an improvement. It doesn't make the knife smoother but it does make cleaning harder. Larry
