Please do post pictures, a wharnie Sebbie would be awesome. Do you have a link or email addy to this custom maker?

Thanks for the replies! I emailed the maker and asked if he wanted me to give out his name. Still waiting for a reply.

Excellent work on the oval hole. Is that still the original blade with a pimped oval hole or is it a blade made for replacement?

“Days of absence, sad and dreary,
Clothed in sorrow's dark array,
Days of absence, I am weary;
She I love is far away.”

~ William Shakespeare ~

a good try at least Alejandrino, happy for your new blade though :)

I still want a wharny also! This is a new blade in S90V steel. Hope to have the wharny this year, if I can get the maker to do another. Still checking!!Really easier to open than a stud for me.

That would be nice, and agree on the oval deal, I've had several thumbstuds
catch on the pocket when pulling it out, not intentionally opening the blade
slightly and coming too close to getting cut.

No word from the maker if he/she wants to be made known?

also, lockup and blade play? The Sebbies hail from as solid a lockup of any
knife made, how did this new blade fare in those areas?

Still no reply from the maker, he is very well known though! I see no reason for him not to be known but, as a courtesy, I have to ask. Lock-up closed and opened is just as fine as the original and, for me even better as the lock-up is 25%( my preferred) compared to CRKs 50% to 75% leaving more room for wear.Opening still just as smooth also. I just love this oval hole opening which I have always liked over the round as it gives more area to push on!

Just got off the phone with the maker. He is Reese Weiland and he lives here in Florida like me! Told me it's okay to post here. He really did a great job! He will be doing a wharny for me also. Hr talked about how high the tolerance is on the sebbie and he did just fine on mine !!

That blade gives the knife a whole new look it is real nice looking - I like a hole over a stud myself & that oval is way cool.

Did the guy who made the blade for you do some work on the front handle for you as well, it looks like the handle may have been shaved down some under the hole when it is closed. I imagine to get your thumb to the hole better?

Yes, forgot to mention that. Reese did shave a bit near the hole for better space. He actually redid the whole finish on the knife incliding the handle.
