Hey folks,

Looking for reccimendations a knife with very similar hand feel and materials to a large sebbie. I have recently become enchanted with flippers and would love something with frame lock, ti slabs and a solid detent for flipping. I have recently tried both 3" and 3.5" xm18s but was thoroughly unimpressed with qc and detent on both. The spyderco mantra is close but felt unsubstantial/cheapy in the hand. Will probably still snag one for office edc ad it's a great size but looking for that weekend workhorse like my large 21 has become. Willing to go custom if I absolutely have to but don't even know where to start in that case. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks!
Caleb

Try looking at the ZT0450 or 0808. Similar, if not the same materials for a fraction of the price. You also get ball bearings for flipping goodness.

Fantoni HB 03 for Large Seb HB 02 for small Seb. I have all the knives mentioned and for me the Fantoni is more for the money and Quality IMO is nearly equal.

ZT0801 for it is a 3.5" full titanium open construction frame lock with a very strong and fluid action

A Sebenza is a Sebenza, and a flipper is a flipper. Nothing comes close to having the best of both worlds.

Take your pick, there's plenty of flippers to choose from.

Benchmade 761 or 765, but not a Sebenza with a Flipper by any stretch of the imagination.....

ZT has a few all ti flippers they released this year, worth a look. Also check out Reate and Kizer the quality is there for sure!

Yes, Reate and kizer, reate is getting more expensive now, kizers have awesome action, quality and value. Also check out stedemon, their SHY series looked kinda sabenzish and boker kwaikenish, with ball bearing

The ZT 0808 is a little bigger than a small Sebenza 21 and a little smaller than a big Sebenza 21 but I gotta agree with BB...

I've had the 0450 and I still have a 0808 ZT. They are both smaller than a large Sebbie, although they are fine folders.
Pretty hard for just about any knife to match the Sebbie in quality, though.

Look at Ferrum Forge

I will second this. Very smooth and solid knives. Love my Ferrum forge archbishops!! Well, all of my ferrum forge knives rock.

Also I am really impressed with the Bradford Guardian flipper folding knife. Feels great in hand and operates smooth and solid.

Calavera cutlery knives are great! Very well made.
