Finished the larger of a pair of Americanized Persian Fighters:
The spec's for the man's knife are: CPM 154 RC 60 cyro and double tempered. Length 11.75" overall, 6.75" to the bolster.

The spec's for the lady's knife are: A-2 RC 58
Length l0.75" overall, 6.0" to the bolster.

Both have american tiger maple, malicite, nickle silver bolsters, and file work.

WOW!!! Those are super! Fit and finish looks exceptional. Good way to start the year, you've gotta be proud of those!!!!
 
I keep comming back to look at these. These have realy cought my eye. Very nice, VERY nice!!!
 
Dave, Those are some NICE knives! :thumbup: The fit and finish are great and I know that getting the different handle peices to fit up took some doing. Whats even more testimony to your skills is that you made more than one that look alike. Very impressive. Lin
 
I just wanted to comment about these knives. The first knife Dave made (the smaller of the two) was completed July 2005. It took Dave many hours of sketching, planning, and figuring to work out the end product as you see it. When finished he wasn't happy with the fit and finish even though it was a real "looker". Lots of good comments and a real show piece for our display. It took some time but he finally took up the template again and with much encouragement from his manager (me-his wife) to stay true to the original you see the end result-if you look carefully you can see the difference! Thanks again for looking. It's always a pleasure.

The Tiger maple is fire wood I took from a neighbors tree!!! It has been seasoning in my shop for 3yrs.:D
The malicite is Composite purchased from Mace Craft in Meriden CT. (Good People to work with for knife handle materials):thumbup:
The malicite is messy it leaves green dust everywhere. and it chips and cracks when you rivit it.:grumpy:
All in all it was about 30 hrs to make the second knife.:o
