Here's a cell phone picture of my second folding knife. It's a 5 3/4" OAL barlow with a 1/8" O1 blade.
The liner is some stainless that my brother in law gave me from a commercial kitchen remodel, I'm guessing 300 something. The bolster is from a hinge I had lying around. I tested it to see if I could engrave it first. I just jb welded and pinned the bolsters so I didn't worry too much about what kind of metal it was.

I know the pins are far too big and normally screws aren't used on slipjoints but I was just using stuff I already had around.

I'm a sucker for Barlows. I like it. The engraving is very nice.

Thank you! I've always loved barlows. I'm working on a couple of more traditional slip joints right now but will definitely be making more barlows when I feel I can do them justice.

I sure would be pleased to get results like that using good stuff from the store. Yes that engraving sure looks good too !!!! Frank

I think the large pins make it look great !! Like a little backbone in gent kind of way.

I like the way the pins look too, like it's kind of over built. Turns out that it makes the rear spring actually weaker because I had to drill such a big hole for them. I might still do it in the future but design it to have a thicker spring.
