Hey guys.

So I decided to try forging knifes for my grooms men. I got married yesterday! Anyway I finished up all but one of the knives in time (not pictured). I've only ever made one other knife so this proved to be a challenging project for the limited time I had available.

They are all chainsaw damascus. Either forged from pure chainsaw chain or from 15n20 sandwiched between two pieces of chain. Ground free hand on my jet multi-tool grinder. Which is too fast for this kind of work!! I used a water hose trickling on the belt to cool the work. That worked very well.

Wow, really nice:thumbup: KW and JAM are my favorites, but any of them would be a wonderful gift. Very thoughtful, wish I'd done that for mine, but that was 10 years ago and I would've screwed it all up:D

Thanks everyone! The one with the black handle (cherry burnt with a torch) labeled CN is for my brother Christopher. He doesnt cook much soo. :)

The KW blade is for our friend Kevin, its a very thin slicing blade that will make a great fruit and vegetable blade. The DN is for my brother dustin and this and the KW blade are my favorites. The JAM knife is for my friend Jesse and should be a great paring knife for everyday kitchen tasks.

How should I advise care of these blades? Hand Washing/drying and then rubbing with mineral or vegetable oil?
