Second Knife done, but going to redo the Blade going to try to flat grind it

Well you are consistent and persistent that is for sure. Keep at it and you will be surprised at what you can do. I would offer some advice but I think you probably have already heard it before.

Holy blocky handle Batman!

Consistent is right. Maybe change things up a bit and make a knife that resembles a more traditional pattern?

Also, your camera work is very distracting. Set the camera up so it gets the entire shot and use good lighting. I almost got seasick with that one!!

I watched this other video of yours too

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujLGS81QkVs&list=UL

Can you tell me step by step in detail, what is your heat treating process ?

I asked him that in his last thread. But watching his videos I get the impression he is wrapping it in aluminum foil and putting it in the oven as his "Heat treatment/tempering". That is the only thing he shows him doing.

I have no room to criticize so I wont but I have to ask...how many decent knives do you own? what is your favorite blade/handle/sheath-shape/design for the task you plan on making your knives for? do they look or feel anything similar?

Also listen to these guys, they know what they are talking about trust me. ;)

mocaba, you posted a video about your second knife. You did not ask for advice or help, so I won't give you anything unsolicited. But I will ask, do you want advice?

Perhaps we are all thinking of this wrong. Instead of trying to help Mocaba make better knives we should watch his process of discovery like scientists... see how long it takes him to figure out whet he's doing wrong without the mental pollution of outside influences.

Or, if that's too painful, maybe we should just be happy for him. He obviously thinks eveything he is doing is cool, so why burst his bubble? Is there anything wrong with someone being pleased with themself? Lord knows I'm pleased with myself, and I'm nowhere near as skilled as some of you...

In any case, there seems to be little point in offering advice, so perhaps the wisest thing we can do is stop offering what is not wanted.

Greg, That is probably the best solution. Someday he will come around and look at a photo of a real knife and slap his forehead and say "WTF was I thinking". Until then we should let him be happy with what he does, as he seems completely content with it.

I do think he has a new concept in concealed knives - disguise them as a 2X4 ....... Pure genius.

It may sell well to the tactical mall ninjas who want to appear to be just your ordinary carpenter wandering around. On a serious note though, advice has been given, ideas and opinions have been shared, and for the most part it seems to have been ignored or fallen on deaf ears. As was stated before i am not sure if the maker is looking for an opinion and comments or what exactly he is after with the posts. If he is looking for comments, they have been given, and are usually pretty much a general consensus. If he doesn't want advice or feedback then i guess we will do as tryppyr said and watch from afar studying the extremely rare and elusive creature known as "the knifemaker who doesnt want advice". If he does happen to read this I am not trying to be ignorant but it cant be said enough, slow down, plan the knife, trace one if you have to, slow down, profile it, slow down, grind true bevels, slow down, heat treat the knife properly, slow down, give it a handle that fits a human hand, slow down, look at it and see how much it looks like any knife in a store or in a picture. Oh and Slow Down. Have I made a knife in a day, yes. Was it as good as it could be, No. Was i happy with it, not really but it served the purpose i made it for as just a bench knife for cutting para and other things. Did it have a ergonomic handle, a working heat treat, and a general shape that looked like a knife, Yes.
