I just finished up my second knife and would like to share it with you all. I have learned a lot from my first to this one, and realize that files and sandpaper are the way to go.

Here is the info:
1084 Steel - 1/8" thickness
OAL - 7 1/4"
Cutting Edge - 3 1/4"
Full Flat Grind
Paracord Wrapped Handle

Clean and simple....an excellent job for your second knife.

I hope more first time makers would take a look at this thread and see how they should get started.
You tackled the important things, like getting a good FFG ( full flat grind) and sanding out ALL the scratches. What you didn't do is try and re-create the wheel, add whistles and bells, or make some sort of hideous handle design.

Kudos for doing it right and more kudos for doing it well.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

@Pete - this knife cuts extremely well. I almost lost half of my hand while doing the wrap since I don't have a sheath made for it yet. A wrapped paper towel kind of slides around too much. Still need Kydex foam for my press. Luckily, I was paying attention.

@Stacy - thank you. Your reply provides me with a sought after validation from a respected veteran in this community. I really do appreciate it.
