This is the second bowie I've completed so far. It has a bit of a recurve to it. It's a 1/4 w2 stock, it has black linen micarta scales and has three 1/4 in stainless pins. The blade has a high polish finish, not mirror by far and I left the flats exactly how they came out of heat treat. Heat treated to 60 hrc. The overall length is 11.5
Let me know what you guys think?
Looking for your guys critique.
Thanks.

I think it's a really fine job! Nice tight gaps on the glue up, pretty clean grind and nice shape overall.

If I were to be picky, here is what I'd say:

The grinds appear to be different heights on either side of the blade. The plunge line on the right side looks like it could be crisper, unless it's just a weird shadow. The handle pins are sanded nice and flush but it appears that a hard backer to your sandpaper may have helped to keep surfaces more even. You seem to have some high spots around the pins. This is a common thing as the pins are harder than the scales so they sand slower. And just as a final thought, the overall lines of the piece are a bit wobbly. I guess you could put it in the category of "style" but I think some crispening up of some lines may help to give the knife a more polished and deliberate look about it. I think mainly the line that runs across the top of the blade down the top of the handle is the one that jumps out at me. If that line was a bit more streamlined it would help. Not necessarily straight, just take the wiggles out. But like I said, these are nit picky things. This is a nice knife.

I like it. Looks like a real handful and solidly built. What kind of grinder you running?

I have the kmg variable speed setup with a 10 inch contact wheel. I am barely getting the hang of it since the first year and a half I used a lee valley 1x42 grinder with a 3.5 in wheel. It's a big step up. It was like I had to reteach my self how to grind. I need a little more practice on the kmg...to get used how the machine works.
