Second Traditional Recommendation - First is a swayback jack

So i absolutely love my 55, but its fairly hard to open to the half stop. Will this loosen up over time? Any pointers? Still learning the ropes with traditionals.

I love my Tidioute (GEC) Halfwhitt. It may not be large enough for you, I can't remember the dimensions. The serpentine frame is very comfortable when using the main wharncliffe especially.

Let us know what you get. :)

The Mexican Bocote is fantastic. Please excuse the poor quality photos...

Would you mind telling me what is the red knife you have there next to the #55? I'm new to traditional folders. Just picked up a bocote wharncliff #55 yesterday. My very first traditional. ^_^

The pattern is a doctors knife. Made by many makers including wrcase who I think made that one, but perhaps it's a rough rider. I'm on my phone and the definition isn't clear enough in the photo for me to tell...

Strigamort, your 57 half-whit is the same exact size as the 55 houndstooth. The frame is exactly the same, just turned around ;)

It's a Marbles MSA Doctor's Knife in D2 and red jigged bone. Made in Gladstone, MI USA. :)

Are you stuck on the wharnie blade style? I think the GEC 15 (any variation) is a great size...
