• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

See the Cat? See the Cradle? (GEC Content)

Nice lineup there, Boggs. As usual, your cup runneth over with the cream of GEC's crop.

I feel strangely like I'm back in the 60's. Watching my lava lamp flowing on the table next to the TV, biting on a camel apple, cat playing with string under the table with a Marvel superman classic sitting on it.

Sweet looking knives

Yes, Purple Haze. I'd forgotten that was the actual name.

The thread through which I became aware of it.

For this, I blame The Government. ;)

That's the same one I was thinking about. We're tying it to Vincent van Goghs Starry Night. I didn't realize there were only 3 made....I'm hunting in vain!!

Also, thanks for showing us the blades....I didn't realize it was a three blade. I don't think I'd use it either, with the way it looks. Super sweet knife!

Rick.....

I try my hardest to keep up with you...my slight advantage is I started just a little sooner .....

Rick, here are the ones of mine that are like Cat's Cradle with the swirl pattern.

From left to right: Fall Harvest, Lava Lamp, Kryptonite.

I have three other acrylics I really like that are pretty unique.

From left to right: Blue Denim, Cracked Marble, Blue Oyster

GEC's acrylics don't seem to command the respect of their terrific bone and stag hafted knives, but they sure are fun!

By a funny coincidence, I was outta town, too--spent that day at the beach--but my highest potential bid was way off the chart. It was a pleasant surprise to return home and discover that I'd "won" the knife for a very reasonable price. :)

Very nice collection of acrylics, BTW!

Well, I wasn't going a lot higher, so I'm glad you got it. I've only seen pictures of a couple other Cradles, and yours is the nicest. Congrats.

Thanks!

Speaking nice, did you see Boggs' Cat's Cradle on the previous page? Yikes!
