See Why I Been Buyin' Them Three-Dotters?

what was it some carny said once ....
some thing a bout money and lollipops?
if you have extra sell sell sell!

How does this influence the standard pricing? If one e-bay auction takes the price up, will other auctions follow, or is this a case of someone or ones who really wanted it enough to bid above the going rate? I know that the large auctions like The Swan Gallery or Christie's do have a strong influence on subsequent pricing.

Prices have been kinda goofy lately. I donno what the heck is goin' on!!

I thought there wuz a recession on.

That same guy has got a 124 that must be kinda special!!

Oh man! I gotta watch this. 28 minutes left. I want to see if there are any last minute shark attacks!

My cheap entertainment for this evening :D

Yeah.....it keeps me out of trouble.

Especially if I don't bid (and there's no temptation in this case).

:D

Look at the other items, Grandpa apparently had good taste. Think someone is running up the bids, if they are they are good at it.

300

This guy has developed a following.

He's been selling these NIB Bucks and Rigids for months and he seems to be the real thing.

I got an NIB Three-Dotter from him early......before he developed such dedicated buyers.

He's still using the same pictures on the Three-Dotters.......must have sold about eight of them by now.

Grandpa and Grandma must have worked at Buck.

No last minute feeding frenzy, but still a nice price for something you found in your garage

Prices are goofy. I just won this inverted 2 liner that no one seemed to be paying attention including me until about 3:00 edt this afternoon. $26 when I saw it, had to bid 32 to take the lead, made a max bid of $45 cause I was going out for a few hours and figgered when I got home it would be ended at at least 75 or above. Nobody bid and I won it for 37 shipped. Pics stink, I hope it is as good as it looks from afar:confused: figger it for a 4th version 1st variation

Will post pics once I get her and shinerup knice:D

Not trying to hijack the thread-back to point.....Beautiful 3 dot, but for that price, wheres the other 1 and a half?

Just goes to show ya......

Life is like a box of chocolates......or knives. You just never know what you're gonna get.

;)

other items are at some high prices also-must be a heck of a ebay marketer.
I'll look forward to discussing those after theyve ended.
If this is deal spotting, mods please remove or notify me.

He seems to be using all ten-day auctions for his knives.....he wasn't doing that a few months ago. He's describing them better, too. He is a seller of golf stuff.

Gotta be a good bet that grampa was a golfer-but he also had good taste in knives:thumbup: wouldnt mind having that 116(not at that price-esp with lots of time left) or the 118:thumbup:

should be some lime green and pink plaid golf pants showing up presently:D

Just wait 'til he breaks into that chest of 1970's polyester leisure suits :D

Could some of the big dollar ending be due to some of the people getting their income tax refunds. Remember it's that time of year.

I think this is the same guy that try to sell me a lot of these... He had some other models too... But lots of 110s... I try to get him to tell me what was on the tang but it was to much work for him and his brother... He has lots or did have a few 100 of the 110s... He has some 2 knife sets too and some smaller knves but couldn't tell me the models that they had... There Granpa had a arcade down town San Diego and would sell knives to all the GI's... They put some of the 110s up for auction here in San Diego and guess they didn't like what they got for them... I know 3 guys that got about 50 of them(110s)... Or the guy that is selling them on ebay bought all his knives or is selling them for him and his Brother... Or it could be someone else that has a lot of Buck knives... :D
