I'll be taking off, tomorrow morning, to hike & climb White Mountain (the one in California... the big one), on my 40th birthday. I'll be back Tuesday... dusty, tired, and sunburned, with a big smile.

Have a fun weekend. Cheers.

Have a great time bro and don't forget the pics.....as if you would !!!!

Don't forget that life begins at 40 eh !!!!!

Have a great time out there, youngster! :D:thumbup:

Definitely hoping you're bringing your camera.

Thanks!

As for the pictures... We'll see. It might just be some snaps with my cell phone.

Thanks, HDW.

I think I'm decently preserved for 40... See for yourself; here's a promotional shot taken of me, last week:

I hope you guys are right about life starting at 40. I still want to find my love, raise a family, build a home, and make my business into something big.

Given how well you've aged I'd say you've got a good chance at all of it. Half the game is knowing what you want.

Have a great time, the sad thing is your cell phone pics are probably still better than any of mine.

I did it, and I'm back. Here's a picture of me, on top of White Mountain (14,252 feet):

More pictures coming, soon.

WOW! i'm not used to seeing mountains like that, instead i'
m used to deep thick green forests with craggy mountaintops.

VERY COOL, thanks for sharing.

Thanks!

Alright, folks, this wasn't supposed to be a photo trip, but I carried my camera up the mountain, just for you guys. :D

No serious photography, but here are a few quick snaps from the journey...

Here's a stop sign that the National Forest Service placed at ~12,000 feet, leading off into the barren middle-of-nowhere:

Here's the path, behind me:

Here's the journey ahead of me:

Here's one of the bighorn sheep I encountered:

And here's the mountain, looming larger:

And you've already seen the pic of me at the top. Unfortunately, there were no good pictures to be taken from up there; there was a lot of smoke and haze covering the Sierras, the Whites, Owen's Valley, etc. I guess I'll have to go back... :)

Thanks, Tony & HD.

Boomhower,

It's just what it looks like. I'm not sure whether it is intended for pedestrians, or ATVs, or mountain bikes, or snowmobiles (in winter), but, the NFS apparently doesn't want people to go there, and so they put up a STOP sign.

Huh! He calls them 'quick snaps.'

I have no future as a photographer. :(

Looks like you were having a lot of fun. Glad to see that. Now ... go have some more! :D

Great pictures and you don't even look 30!!! I'll be 39 in January but I don't plan to start acting like an adult until 57-58, so I have plenty of years left to "play". Thanks for sharing and it looked like an awesome trip!
