Seek and ye shall find....

I've been out of the loop for a while, and must have missed the coverage for this knife. Where can I find specs on it? I did some preliminary googling but haven't come up with anything.

So far I know its .20 thick D2 with a mystical HT with around a 60 hardness. Any other specs that can be leaked to the general public?

Yeah, as soon as I get them. Steve's been in this thread, feel free to ask him. :D

The scales that I got started yesterday seem to work out pretty well... my wife has very small hands and she was all about the scales being added.... I think I have a pic of the scales on my phone, if so, I'll upload shortly....

SEEK w Scales... keep in mind this is a work in progress... they are about 80% complete in this photo....

ocnLogan - it's brand new. I've got a FB page put up for it....actually will be giving away a trophy antelope hunt there in the next couple days.... facebook.com/adventureblades or facebook.com/adventureSEEK there is more info to come but the nuts and bolts are what Moose laid out above. Really nothing too mystical on the heat treat, was just being ornery. I do in house sub-zero quench to -300 deg. It's designed to be a very simple, yet very effective cutting tool. The Microserrations are one of the coolest features in my opinion. Very easy to sharpen, and they are somewhat reminiscent of a flint knapped edge. I'll be doing some mods with the handle, but the basic unit will be a skelly knife with a textured handle.

Lycosa - funny you should ask.... actually the first 55 I did were tanto's.... I think there are still a couple hanging around the shop if you're interested. They were done out of .1875" 1095 and are hard chrome plated.

hey Steve, should i post pix of the one i have, or is that a secret?

Bladite, would you mind?? No secrets on that front.... thanks a million.

I like it.:)

Those little blade serrations should make it a good kitchen-duty knife. Bet it cuts cheese with ease.

It cuts pretty much anything I've tried to cut pretty well, to include kitchen duty... cheese, fruit, pork tenderloin and tomatoes. :) I've got one more mod up my sleeve that should take cutting power to the max... with any luck I'll get it tested this week.

I like what I see.
The serrations are shallow enough that you won't be tearing through everything, it's actually designed to be sharpened with normal stones, and it has a proper chisel grind for right handed people.

thank you. the serrations worked out pretty well, they actually cut instead of tearing and it's the easiest knife in the world to sharpen...well, I suppose that I'm biased.... (grin) it's a work in progress, but it's coming along well.

This was the biggest feature for me, finally, chisel done for the righty. :D
