Tech Support is for Bladeforums website support.
I moved your thread to Shop Talk, for knifemaker advice.

I have the same one, and had trouble "getting" the logic of how it works too.
Make sure you have the supplementary manual, part two, the one that gives examples step by step. It's available on the Auber site.
Are you having a specific problem? Perhaps if you describe it, it's something I've wrestled with and can help.

I am in the same boat. I have the instruction manual, but it doesn't show how to set ramp or if I can store settings. It is more of how to wire is and setup instead of how to control and operate. I looked around on auber's site and could only find the instruction manual. Could you post a link to "part 2"?

IIRC, Auber has a good tech service for questions and help.

The model you list is not a programmable ramp/soak controller. It is a process controller. You set it to a temperature and it controls a device at that temperature. You need a much different controller to run HT programs.

You would want a controller like one of these to run a HT oven:

Thanks for the replies I actually left the P out of model number. It's a SYL2352P does that make much of a difference!!!

Hi!! Thanks for replying actually left out the P from the model number. SYL2352P is the correct model number. found the part2 of manual hope that answers questions.if problems continue will contact you for additional assistance. THANKS!!!!! BILL

Is this controller ok until I get a programmable one? I have been using it manually. I am assuming the ramp rate is wide open? I plan on getting the model you listed but this one was free so I used it.

For a single temp controlled forge or simple oven, any PID will work. For a HT oven with programs, ramps, and soaks, you need a programmable controller. The same number with a "P" at the end means it is programmable.
