USA Stars in Moore (right off I-35, same exit as the Wal-Mart superstore) has a guy teaching Pekiti Tirsia, he also has a backround in Willem DeThours Kuntao Silat. The facility is owned and run by two time Olympic competitor (Judo) Pat Burris. They offer everything from karate to kung fu to olympic weightlifting to ju-juitsu to judo to boxing as well as being a training facility to a number of high level UFC style fighters (Evan Tanner, Frank Trigg). It is a non profit organization, monthly dues at $35 a month, for unlimited training. If I didn't live in Shawnee, I'd be there every day.

The other main option would be Spartan Academy in Midwest City. I belive it is on Air Depot, you'd have to check the phone book. The instructor is certified under Dan Inosanto in FMA and Jun Fan and Chai Sirasute (sp?) in Muay Thai, and also has a grappling class. I have not trained there, but he has a good reputation, also a rep for being a real "contact" kickboxing school. Expect to spar, and spar hard. It is also more expensive.

The owner of Martial Arts international is Certified under Richard Bustillo, but I believe he only teaches Machado Brazillian Jui-jitsu now. His school is on MacAurther or Meridian. I am sure he'd do privates, but they would be expensive.

There is also a guy teaching at one of the university gymnasiums, but I can't for the life of me remember which one. Seems it was on the west side of the city.

Any thing I can help you with, e-mail me.

Robert

Thanks for all the info. I will start looking into all of your suggestions immediately. I knew M.A.I. used to have some Kali classes, but I thought someone told me it wasn't around anymore. I have to look into that also. Thanks again and I'll let you know what I think.....Jeff

I just looked in the phone book and it appears he's changed the name of the facility to "Lovato's School of Brazillian Jui-Jitsu"
