Greetings all! I'm a newbie here so if this topic has already been addressed just give me a link. My websearch turned up a few discussions on this site but none about my specific topic.
I have a Byrd Stainless Spear Point Survival knife with a SS handle, brass hilt, and removable brass endcap with compass.
The blade is 4 & 1/2" and overall length is 10".
The only info I have been able to locate is from an online auction site that lists a sale date of November 2006. The item description states that only "approximately" 66 are known to exist and the series is numbered by the year followed by the serial number, thus 00450=2004 #50.
The number is located on the blade and, according to the above, mine was made in 2002 and is #43.
Any additional info would be greatly appreciated (for instance, if the above info from the auction site is accurate, etc.). Thanks!
