I prefer lockbacks over linerlocks. However I am picky about my blades. Nothing vanilla. Nothing ordinary looking. Blade no less than 4". The more wicked looking the better. My current pocketknife would be perfect if it weren't a linerlock. It is a Frost Cutlery xtreme Hammerhead. It has a 4.5" blade, partially serrated with a tanto point & a guthook. Now if someone could point me toward something like it with a lockback handle I'd appreciate it..

Moved from Traditional Forum to General Forum.

Afraid those are not the features of a traditional pocket knife. Let's see what the folks who carry modern designs can do for you.

Cold Steel brand comes to mind. Check them out.

Depending on your taste, there are quite a few selection you may like from the Spyderco camp as well.

If you want to go crazy an extreme ratio is just a weird looking monster locking knife.

Of the cold steel st1 or the something max

This is easy. You can get a Spyderco Native Chief or a Spyderco Police 4. Both are superb and genuinely good knives with blades more than 4 inches.

Not to make fun, or anything, and I do not know your budget as you did not say. But the knife that you have is an inexpensive knife (not bad) and there is light years of difference between it and those I mentioned above.

However, if money is an issue, check out Byrd knives. The Cara Cara is just a smidgen under 4 inches. Cold Steel, another good brand, has some that are inexpensive, yet good, too.

Buck has a 110 Hunter that has a 3 3/4 inch blade that is under $30 and made in the USA.

What will you being using the knife for? Is the gut hook to be used for gutting animals or just a cool looking feature? The more you can describe what you plan to use the knife for, the better the recommendations will be.

There are a ton of great partly serrated tanto blades out there. Why ruin one with a gut hook?

The Cold Steel Recon 1 is an awesome tanto bladed folder. 4" S35VN black coated awesome there.

If Larger/More-Wicked-Looking = Better, then the Cold Steel XL Voyager Tanto is the ticket. They have a 4 inch and a 5.5 inch version.

For the inexpensive option, grab a Ka-Bar Mule. Here's one...

My guess is the OP is trolling everyone or is just pretty young and fairly new to knives with a smaller budget. Just had to look up the knife he has...big, "gut hook" on the half serrated blade, seat belt cutter slot near the back of the handle and a glass breaker on the end...all for just a skosh over $20...

Doubt he's going to be into or want to pay for any cold steel or spyderco or anything else most of us on here recommend...

My recommendation if your into that stuff is to visit any nearby gas station, or small store with all the crap in the clear counters stuffed with lighters, brass knuckles and pipes and stuff. Thats usually where you'll find those types of knives.
Also ebay. Just search "knife" on the bay and you'll find hundreds of knives like the one you own.

Highly recommend you check out Cold Steel with Tri-ad .

They make lots of over 4" , aggressive looking folders . Very strong and reliable knives , not just for show .

I don't think it hurts to suggest something better . :)

Many here started out with same sort of crap as OP .

Yeah your right we all did start somewhere. But....usually when someone is ready to move on past that stuff, after being on here for a while and learning about different blade steels and better quality they post something saying they are ready to step it up a bit and move onto something of higher quality and give a price point...the OP didn't say anything like that and simply wanted something crazy like he already has. Crazier the better...with a gut hook lol. That leads me to believe he just wants the same sort of knife, looks and price.

Even so , we might help someone besides OP that's looking for a decent larger lock back .

Market seems flooded with liner locks and small folders .

Cold Steel Voyager L trailing point. Available in three sizes (including 4" L and 5.5" XL) and in plain or serrated edge... the large goes for about $55. They look much nicer in real life than in this photo I lifted from the web.

From the OP's prior posts, a bit of explanation:
I deliver beer. The pallets are wrapped in plastic. I cut it open with the gut hook to avoid damage to the inventory. I also cut a limited amount of cardboard with the regular blade.

So, he has a specific need for the gut hook.

Gut hooks are normally found on hunting knives, but I'm not aware of a lot of hunting knives with serrated edges or tanto blades. "Tanto blade" and "hunting knife" are pretty much mutually exclusive terms. So you may not have a lot of choices in upgrading your equipment.

The closest I can get you is a Buck 660

You might have better luck if you look for a knife with a "seat belt cutter". Pretty sure you could find a tanto blade with one of those.

Yeah Frank, I thought of this Smith and Wesson thing, but it's a bit shorter on the blade and not a backlock... Still a S&W Cheapo though...

Edit to add: S&W Border Guard is on sale for $13 if you can deal with a liner lock:
