Seeking lockback

These work great for opening packages without damaging contents :

Are you looking for traditional looking lockbacks or perhaps a modern style folder? If it’s the latter, I recommend the Cold Steel Spartan. The recurve makes a little challenging to sharpen, but the Sharpmaker or a similar setup should take care of it.

The 4” Recon 1 is also a pretty good choice.

From the OP's prior posts, a bit of explanation:

So, he has a specific need for the gut hook.

Gut hooks are normally found on hunting knives, but I'm not aware of a lot of hunting knives with serrated edges or tanto blades. "Tanto blade" and "hunting knife" are pretty much mutually exclusive terms. So you may not have a lot of choices in upgrading your equipment.

The closest I can get you is a Buck 660

You might have better luck if you look for a knife with a "seat belt cutter". Pretty sure you could find a tanto blade with one of those.

A lot of the tool brands like Stanley and dewalt do aggressive folders that have the serrations and tantos and I think even the safety cutters.

And they generally run pretty cheap.

I will have a look.

Wow. Spring assisted. For when you have to get that box opened now.

Really? This is why we can't have nice things.
Yes really. 'Wicked looking' comes in 2 forms. Practical and impractical. I lean towards the practical. And for the record, for those who have mentioned the Hammerhead as priced $20 something, it used to go for more. It cost $50 back when I got it in 2015. not sure why the price dropped because it is a near perfect knife. I am 40yrs old for those who mentioned age. But back to the topic of 'wicked looking'. I find that as long is it is the practical sort of wicked, the more features the knife has the more potential uses it has. Bastler's statement of "Really" is the sort of response I would expect from those types of people who take it upon themselves to decide what other people should/should not be allowed to own. Pocket tyrants. As for the rest of you I have read your replies clear down to the last [currently Drop Bear] and would like to thank you all for your assistance. There are a few rather interesting options. Since I know there will be questions about what I consider an impractical wicked blade I submit the following link. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Fixed-Blad...bow-Dagger-Short-Sword-HWT252RW-/401992760794
Notice the backwards facing spikes on the hilt. Those could harm a persons hand and are thus impractical. Other wicked looking impliments that I own include several items from the M48 line of weapons like the warhammer and naginata. Though I do think that their warhammer and tomahawks could be improved with a recurved ergonomic handle but now I am straying off topic.....

I think this is a job for Cold Steel to solve, they have plenty of crazy stuff all with back locks, and they are going to be safe unlike a lot of the knives you find on ebay, those usually aren't the best built knives and you can't really be sure if they have quality control issues. Go for a Cold Steel XL, or a Recon 1 type of blade. What about a 4 max scout, that's a tank.
