Seeking Recommendations: Replacement for Kershaw Nerve

The ritter is just a better version of the classic Benchmade Griptillian, an already legendary knife. A magnacut ritter could basically be a forever knife.

Since I can't resist stirring, the CJRB Maximal is a similar design to the RSK. It doesn't come with the "made by Hogue", and it doesn't fund Kniferights' work, so there's that to think about. Depends on how you feel about the "back end" of a knife.

Ooohhhh. I’ve never seen one, I like it a lot, dude 7 minutes up the road has a green one in stock.

I ordered this. Thank you!

I ordered the Bel Air in Carbon Fiber. Now I get to practice my patience…

Let us know how it does and enjoy your new knife!

It showed up yesterday (Bel Air in Carbon Fiber). I really like it so far. I was a little worried that it would feel too light for my preferences, but it's got a good feel to it. My brother in law showed me his new Benchmade over the holidays and it was insanely light - much lighter than I would want; however, the Bel Air feels right. It'll take me some time to get my timing down on one-handed closing with the lock, but it's definitely fun to operate. I might try to smooth the corners of the spine as those are somewhat sharp, but it's not a big issue. No buyer's remorse here!

I'm no fan of CF scales, but I hope it serves you well.
My two dealbreakers were aluminum scales and blacked out blades. I think my ideal would've been just plain black or green G10 with either a satin or stonewash reverse tanto blade. I wasn't able to find the original size with G10 scales without a blacked out blade, however.

I was ultimately torn between the XL, which had the color/material scheme I like the best, the carbon fiber, and the green micarta handle with stonewash blade. Then it was balancing availabilities with different vendors' prices along with applicable discounts and a gift card I had. If I was put in the situation 10 times, I probably get the CF 4 times, the XL 4 times, and the green micarta 2 times. And who knows, maybe I'll go on a collecting spree and wind up with all three lol. I don't normally change my EDC, though, so I'd have a hard time justifying the cost to myself.
