Seeking thoughts as to which Rick Hinderer model to start with.

I feel it's perfectly fine to own/purchase folding knives by other makers; but they get dusty while my XMs get dirty...just sayin'.

Very true!! It the harsh reality of your other makers.... I have just come to the realization many times Hinderer is the one that makes me happy and I carry....

Well it didn't take too long for me to come to my senses. I just bought a stone washed (my favorite finish for a user) 3 inch slicer/flipper(digital Camo scale) from a nice gentleman off the exchange. I can't tell you how excited I am. Thanks to all for your guidance.

Congrats! Good choice (so I hear, I only have had 3.5" xm's but I have a 3" coming, maybe tomorrow). Let us know your impressions when you get it!

I've only had 3.5" XM's and have had my 3" slicer for a little over a week now. Love this thing. Have carried it almost every day since it arrived.
