Have to make some room so these two are up for sale.
1. Orient Gronholm WRC LE Automatic CDB04001D0. #1412/2007. Just received about two weeks ago. Tried on but never worn; as such it's spotless. Easily TZ grade 98%. Complete with all boxes, paperwork, packaging, etc. as new. Stunning watch, excellent fit and finish and good lume, too. One of Orient's best by far and a real sleeper, huge bang for the buck. $SOLD shipped USPS Priority in the U.S.
2. Restored/serviced/modded Seiko 6309-7040. All work completed by Bob Thayer Jr. in November of 2009.
Mods/work done includes:
*Seiko 6309-7040.
*Restore/refinish case.
*Movement service.
*New day wheel.
*New flat sapphire crystal w/AR coating
*New aftermarket dial relumed with NoctiLumina.
*New aftermarket hands relumed with NoctiLumina.
*New aftermarket bezel insert relumed with NoctiLumina.
*New click ball.
*New crown.
*New crown gasket.
*New case back gasket.
*New bezel/rotating ring gasket.
*New crystal gasket.
*Note: Watch was pressure tested after work completed.
The crown is an absolute joy to use, feels like a brand new watch. Sound of rotor spinning in case sounds like and "feels" like a new Seiko automatic does. Keeps time within a handful of seconds each day and has an excellent power reserve. The lume is like a torch and lasts a long time easily besting my Sumo with just the slightest charge from just about any light source.
The refinished case sides and top are flawless, the case back does show some marks, but nothing major. Sapphire xtal is mark-free, as is the bezel insert. Watch is on a Yobokies "Anvil" with a Seiko double push-button deployment. (Extra links included.) Bracelet is also blemish-free. (Will also come with a brand new, never used black nato strap.)
I'm going to call this TZ grade 93% only because of the marks on the case back, but otherwise she's a real beaut and if you've been looking for a nice modded 6309-7040, you will not be disappointed with this one. $450.00 shipped USPS Priority in the U.S.
Pictures of both watches can be found HERE
PayPal preferred but absolutely no "eChecks". Not interested in any trades.
Drop me a note if you're interested, e-mail always works best.
Thanks-
Scott
