I continue to be more and more impressed with the offerings from Seki Cut. As some of you may recall my initial exposure was with a Hiro Little Blue folder that I got for my son at Christmas. My latest is with a Hiro fixed blade. 3.25" mirror polished VG10 blade that is thin and shaving sharp. Blue anodized aluminum slabs with (here's the best part) black mother of pearl and abalone overlay. The overlay is really pretty, especially in contrast with the anodizing. Also comes with a lanyard hole, scored thumb ramp and a very nice sheath that is well fitted and attractive in its own right. I give it nine out of ten stars with a minor deduction for the screws not being countersunk on the handles and a small imperfection in the mating of the abalone strips to the mop that causes the slightest ridge (this is REALLY nit-picking). About 150 bucks online, although I got lucky and scored it for under 100 on Ebay.

I borrowed the pic/link from Knifeoutlet. Hope that's cool. It's a good pic, but doesn't do justice to the pearl.

Hi Jack. FYI, Hiro Masui ("Hiro Knives") is, IMO, one of the better production shops in the world. Small shop, but very high quality. He is an accomplished artist as well which shows in his own designs. Much pride in that piece you own.

Ditto Sal, they make some very nice high end production knifes for sure!
