I, for one, long ago accepted that MY preferences are not shared by the majority. I voted for the knife I wanted, then the closest thing to the one I wanted, then the next closest thing to the one I wanted. There comes a time when one simply accepts that this isn't going to be the knife one wants. I might still buy this, because the pattern has a certain appeal to me; but odds are good that that I'll just let it pass. What are the chestnut and sepia voters thinking!?
If Hemlock Green cover turns out not to be what I like, I'll have one recovered in smooth ivory bone. I wanted that from the get-go.Maybe I should get two, so I can get one recovered with smooth ivory bone!![]()

Hhmoore, I understand your position, I am still on the fence about this one. I really would like to have the pattern and I am a big fan of single blade slipjoints but I can’t get excited about another brown handled knife. Maybe I will pick one up just to say I have one and if I REALLY don’t like it then toss it in my toolbox to use for all of those jobs that I don’t to use a nice knife for.I, for one, long ago accepted that MY preferences are not shared by the majority.
