I’m pretty sure the bolster “stamp” is part of the cast (or whatever it is called) and not stamped on. Charlie said the bolsters are already underway, so I don’t think a bolster stamp is an option. Somebody please correct me if I’m wrong.
Our bolsters are underway - I'm expecting pics!! Soon!!
Bill is probably going to make a run of His commercial Barlows also. I don't know if the bolsters will be the same as ours!! But we have tang stamps and our Hemlock dye, to make the knife ours!!

No worries here about the BF 86 Spring Street Barlow not being unique… we did the appropriate about of BF hemming and hawing. I’m sure Bill puts lots of thought into his creations, but I can bet no one has said more on the subject than us!

I'd think that the bolsters as presented are gonna be quite nicely stamped - with lines and a rat-tail treatment. At least they ain't what one would call unadorned. 😉🙂

I think Spring Street Barlow has a good ring to it, and actual relevance.

It will be a knife with a bit of mystery though...

Hemlock Green handles which are mostly dark bown/red...on a knife named after GECs address (E Spring Street), even though the front of the factory is on Caldwell St.

I love it

Ps
IF we are to come up with a name just for the bolster, with the above logic in mind, I'd suggest calling it the "Double Bolster":)

The steel is GEC's well tempered 1095 carbon steel!
This 86 Barlow's bolster needs a name!!View attachment 1589749
Since the famous Washington Bolster was named after the street where it was "born", and this BF will be born on E. Spring street, maybe it should be called the "Spring" bolster?? What say you??

Washington Bolsters!!

I must have missed it, but what connection does the name Spring Street have to the knife?

From Charlie's post above.
