Self Defense Choices?

It may sound strange, but I've regularly carried a 12-note Hohner Marine Band harmonica as a defensive striking tool when flying commercial or traveling places where I can't carry a knife or a .45 - the fingers curl naturally around the rounded metal body, leaving about an inch and a half of squared-off brass-reinforced hardwood ends sticking out on either side of my fist. And no one's ever thought twice about it in more than 30 years (except one security police airman at an undisclosed underground location and some Italian carabinieri at the Rome airport, who in both cases thought it looked like a 9mm weapons clip when viewed in my briefcase under xray. In both cases, things quickly eased up considerably after I played a few notes).

By the way, it's also allowed me to sit in with a good number of bands, including blues grammy-winner Johnny Clyde Copeland.

I never would of thought of something like that, very creative!

Here is my new Hot tamale from Mean Gene Leather.

That looks pretty cool.
