Cold Steel Large "Voyager". Lightweight, very strong, very sharp right out of the box and modestly priced.
 
I would have to 2nd the junk yard dog 2 (ditch the pocket clip and make your own low ride) fastriot14 posted how to make a low ride pocket clip on here. SOG pe 14 pentagon 1 or 2. I never thought to ask what are you doing with the knife?
 
Zero Tolerance 200 blemished is under $100 and is an awesome heavy duty folder. Spyderco Manix 2XL is under $100 is a great large folding slicer. Both knives are quality built and will hold up to any reasonable and often unreasonable task.
 
Spyderco resilience is an awesome deal. It's also thin enough and light enough to edc depending on your clothing. But basically everything bladechick777 mentioned is a good choice.
