So right now im caught in a conflict between buying either a Cruwear Millie or a Gayle Bradley folder. Personally the weight of the GB doesn't bother me for EDC and the Millie has always been exalted as a great EDC for a knife that big. All in all im just looking for a nice off duty EDC knife that can pull its weight.

Tell me your opinions on the two and which you would prefer/recommend. Also pictures are appreciated...everyone loves eye candy!

If you want to buy more than one knife, the obvious choice is the Millie because it is a sprint run and will only become harder to find as time moves on. That said though, the GB is an amazing knife and is definitely worthy of consideration as a "Do everything knife". Based just on availability though, if you can find a CruWear Millie I'd grab it without hesitation, and grab a GB afterwards.

Nice to see another Bay Area knife nut! ^

I'd go with the cruwear here, but you really can't go wrong with either.

An expensive lesson I have learnt before: buy the sprint first while they are still available, and get the regular production knife later.

Millie is the more useful knife for me. I prefer a knife with a finer tip.

Both are excellent knives though.

I have both.
The Military has a keener tip and is easier to use one-handed. The GB seems to be tougher and the blade tip is thicker and thus a little stronger. I'm not sure but I think Cruwear is a bit more resistant to corrosion.

I would agree with CRUWEAR being more corrosion resistant. Mastiff who had been asking for CRUWEAR for years has said that CRUWEAR tends to pit, while I have seen M4 red rust. I also found M4 to take a nice easy patina, but never tried to force one on CRUWEAR.

It's a tough call. The GB in M4 is a great knife. Some have a hard time with the liner lock. It can be a little difficult to disengage.

The military is a great knife and the cruwear makes it an amazing knife! It's so light and easily disappears in the pocket.

Definitely a tough one. My vote goes to the military.

I'll be the lone voice, here, but you're aware that I'm a fan of the GB. I have a Ti Milie, and I really like the Milie, but I have three (well, four) GBs. They are the one knife I'd never get rid of.

Friar you sir make the decision that much harder xD I'm leaning more toward the Millie cause its the sprint like Brock stated earlier.

Like the others have said, get them both but get the Military first. I like the GB for a work knife a bit more than I do the Military because the ergo's of the GB seem to fit my hand a little better.

Another factor to consider is weight. I find the cruwear millie easier to carry.

Yeah, the weight of the GB initially kept me from carrying it often... I did get used to it, but it's still hefty.

On my wife's cooking scale my Cruwear Millie is 127g, and my GB (w/ skeletonized liners) is 146g. Both with factory clips.
