Selling an Auto. Where are they Banned?

I do not sell many knives. However I have a few autos I want to sell. Is there a list of states where they are banned? If not what troubles can I create for myself by unknowingly selling to someone in a banned state?

New Mexico for one. It's illegal here to buy, sell, own, collect, manufacture...

Well I read on another site that it's illegal to sell them by Federal Law. That means all the ones I see for sale are illegal.

And we aren't in a position to tell you how to violate Federal law.

The restriction is actually on interstate shipment, not on sales. Also, it's generally the responsibility of the buyer to comply with local law.
