Well, I'm trying to fund a KMG purchase (OK I already bought the KMG) with knife sales. Anyway, I just put up (and immediately sold) my Koster WSK. Man I loved that knife. C'est la vie. Some of the khuks hurt too. My shop 1. That one hurts to sell. I'll never get another of those again. Khadka too. Dagnabbit.

Please remind me how nice it'll be to have a grinder that tracks with precision........ It should be here monday. Maybe I'll feel better then, huh???

The KMG will be worth it. So will the multitude of Nessmuks I've got in the works. I've got 6' of 2" x 1/8" 1095, and 6 feet of 1.5" x 3/16" 01 to get to grinding on once it arrives. Already got a plan drawn too!

sold? sold where? man! i'm trying to corner the market ;)

yeah, selling your toys for other toys hurts. for a while. then you end up liking the new toy a lot.

i'd probably find someone else to sell first before my WSK though... looks around. yah. definitely. then again, i've been getting rid of much of my crap for a while. i missed them at first, but now? well, i wasn't using them. i also feel more free and light. which is a good thing.

hang in there, enjoy the new stuff :>

I wasn't excited about selling the WSK. Dagnabbit, grumble grumble. And a big part of me is hoping nobody picks up that shop 1.

Andy,
I haven't sold anything yet, but even giving away a khuk hurts a bit. I gave one of my first khuks to my dad. He had never even seen one before. It's nice to share the virus with unsuspecting folks. I guess I can go visit my old khuk from time to time. What's really tough is that my 11 year old daughter keeps eyeing my foxy folly. I'm sure that will be hers soon.

kid's got a good eye. way to go.

Good time for a reminder...there are no sales allowed for members below GOLD level as far as I know.

If someone has talked to Spark and heard differently, please let me know.

The infraction points add quickly...

Andy, could you tell us why you chose the KMG? Sweet has the Burr-King I think and really likes it, and there are lots of other good choices out there.

Thanks for any info.

Norm (future big grinder owner I hope!)

Yes Norm, I chose the KMG because of a couple of things. 1. Versatility - its unmatched from what I can tell, though, the Wiltron Square wheel is pretty versatile. 2. Made of steel. The Burr-King is less configurable, and made of aluminum.

From their site:

Constructed of rugged cast aluminum and precision machined components, every Burr King grinder delivers unexcelled grinding performance and reliability.

Da KMG........:D

That's awesome Andy! My shop is really in pretty good shape; all I "need" is a bandsaw and one of these and I'm set. Looking forward to seeing some of your coming creations.
