I am curious to the legality of selling a manufactured blades with my handles. I want to make sure that i don't end up in trouble for being and idiot

I'm going to resist the temptation.....
You can make any knife you want and sell it. What materials you use and whether the blade was made by you are not important.
HOWEVER - if you mark the knife with your name, you need to make it clear to anyone you sell it to that you assembled the knife, (and customized it,perhaps), but the blade was a pre-manufactured bade.

I believe in the freedom of everyone to buy and sell anything made or built at thier whim,,,however,,,,
Lets supose for a moment that you as a new knife maker,,buy a kit knife,,,and assimble it perfictly,,,putting the most awsome handle on this work of art,,,,
being proud of your skills,,you brand your name on the blade and sell it to someone telling them it is a kit,,,(years pass)
Now you are growing in the knife world,,and that knife gets sold to another person,,,but the fact that it was a kit knife is not related to the next guy thinking he is investing in a treasure,,,,,then he finds out that you infact did not "make" this knife,,,
it might damage your good name,,,because when we see a name on a blade,,,that is saying,,,this guy made this knife.
just my 2 cents,,gaurd your good name,,,
"customized by John Doe",,,lets everyone know of your craftmanship and protects you after the knife has passed through several owners.

I was at a job interview at a plant that made electronics, and I asked him about the logistics of the operation. He said all the parts are made in Canada and shipped here to Washington where they are assembled and labeled MADE IN THE USA, then re-shipped. Is it legal? Yes. But how would you feel if you bought the product?

thanks for the input i am working on making my own blades but the blades i have been using are high quality and i am selling them to good friends
