Selling to overseas?

Hi all -

Looking to tap the collective wisdom here regarding selling to a member of the military overseas in Japan (I'm in the US). Are there any issues shipping folding knives (non auto) to military addresses in general, and then on top of that when the person is in a foreign country? Are there any legal issues?

Here is a thread that discusses APO/FPO shipping. Google allows site specific queries, which can save you work of creating a new thread. The query is of the form "shipping overseas APO FPO site:bladeforums.com".
 
Thanks consider me educated now on both subjects (searching and shipping to AFPO) LOLZ...
Apparently there aren't any worries except the pesky customs form but that's not enuf to deter me.

A whole lot of people are scared to ship to an APO I've had one for 12 years and never had something not arrive to include autos but keep in mind there will be little to no tracking
 
Over the years that I've been involved here, I've sold knives to several people using their APO addresses. Never had an issue.
