Not as drastic an upturned tip as some Nesmuk blades but still following that thought. The handle is curly maple from the firewood pile at my hunting camp. I stabilized it in a vacuum chamber using Cactus Juice and stained it with a product that the muzzle loader builders use on their maple stocks; it makes the figure pop creating a handle that almost looks like snakewood.
I forged this from 52100 high carbon steel
Heat treated in my Evanheat furnace to Rc 58-60 (hard enough to hold an excellent edge but not so hard that the edge could chip with heavy use)
Flat grind with a cork belt finish. I like to call this an "almost mirror" finish
Distal tapered full tang
Stabilized curly maple handle with black Micarta spacers
Overall length: 9 inches
Blade: 4 1/4 inches
Leather scabbard with a belt loop for a right hand carry
