The handle of this knife named "Nu-Pearl" (in catalogs 40's - 50's) or "genuine Sea-Pearl" (in catalogs 70s). It is really pearl or plastic?
 
That one looks like celluloid, or possibly a cast acrylic.
Genuine pearl was used, but only by Santa Fe Stoneworks during my tenure (1979 on).
