Send It Back Or Sell It

Why is it that So Many of us will sell or trade a knife rather than send it back

to the place where we bought it? We may lose a little by sell or trading it.

Shipping it back to place of purchase isnt that expensive.

Send it back or flip it what do you do and why?

Sending it back puts the product out of my control. I don't know what the other party is going to do with it or what's going to happen. So I'd rather fix it myself or let someone else who wants to deal with the problem.

You don't state a reason for sending it back. I'm all for returning a knife if there is a quality issue...but I don't return items simply because I don't like it. If I order a knife online and I don't like it, it means I didn't do enough research, and would simply sell it. Returning items for less than valid reasons ends up eventually hurting all consumers in higher prices, restocking fees, etc.

Classy response

Do your research and don't burden others because of your lack of preparedness.

I feel that a knife should only be returned to a dealer IF it has a defect or a major cosmetic flaw. If I buy/trade for it and realize wow this thing is to big or I just don't like it like I thought I would I most of the time sell it or give it to my 10 year old nephew. One mans junk is anothers treasure. I don't mean a broken knife because its I break it she hits the trash. That was just a figure of speech. Passing down to a younger generation is a great thing to do in my book.

If it's messed up I'll ask for a return/exchange but there have been times I got a flawed knife but I liked it so much I kept it anyhow.
