Sending Knives to the US

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with US customs when buying knives from outside the US. I'm in the UK, and I have a few knives which where my dad's, and I think they're of more interest to US collectors than UK ones. There's an early Yancey made Applegate Fairbairn and a Buckmaster 184 & 185, both popular over there from what I can tell.

If I sold them to a buyer in the US and sent them by courier, assuming I filled in all the paperwork correctly, what kind of charges would they get hit with?

Hope I got this in the right forum, there didn't seem to be anything specific so I took a guess.

I've received knives from all over the word. I still don't consider myself an expert, but my packages are all accurately described, with correct values, insured, and tracking with my signature required. This is all through the the postal system of each country. All rules for what can be shipped, and how they are shipped, are followed. This ends up not being cheap, and is not fool-proof, but every knife I have purchased, have ended up in my hands. Cost will vary from $20 to $50. I would also add that there are some countries that I will not ship to.
