I have a few blades to be heat treated

at least 5, possibly 8 or 9, they arent very big...

the majority are 1095, with one being ATS 34 and another being CPM154cm

What would be the most economical way to get these heat treated? as cash is short for the time being, but i need to finish these and sell them!!

Thanks!

Gotta be a maker close buy that will do it if not mail them to who ever does a good job . Rob at knife maker does mine and I couldnt be happier

Look Delbert Ealy up, I don't know if he'll do the ATS or 154 for you, but you can send that to TKS for a good price.

the heat-treat is so vital to a knife....get the best you can. Don't go cheap on it!

that wasnt what i was asking, i know not to go cheap, or id be attempting it myself, and it would probably be all wrong.

Delbert Ealy is very affordable, and a very well respected maker, and that is who I am going to go with on the 1095.

Thanks Kelly, but we aren't doing any 1095 till the Parks 50 arrives. Glad to hear you are happy with results. We know you experience speed bumps along the knife making road - and we'll try not to be one of them. :)

Rob!

Any professional heat treater should be able to give you similar results as long as they have a controlled and repeatable process. Paul doesn't even hide the heat treating processes he uses. If you have a lot of blades, it's fairly economical to send them to him, but he has high minimums for one or two knives that TKS and some others do not.

Some people like to see his name involved with a knife, so it could also be considered as a marketing tool for your knives.

Although I've never used their business, I've had good pre-business contact with Peters and have heard nothing but good things from them.

i think im going to go with TKS for these two SS knives, and Delbert for the 1095 ones, seem like good choices.

Bos's minimum killed me, ill try him out when I have 20 blades to send in.
