Sentry Solutions: How well is TUF-GLide/Cloth protecting?

I have both the Tuf-Cloth and Marine Tuf-Cloth as well as the 8oz. bottle of Tuf-Glide. I find these products to work well for me. However, I am very careful about maintaining my blades. They do not lay around for very long before they get some serious TLC after a hard use situation.

It should be noted that with respect to the Marine Tuf-Cloth, Sentry says that you can buff off the residue after it dries without any lessening of the protective capabilities of the cloth. This is written right on the re-sealable envelope the cloth comes in. I would tend to take these people at face value. They have a good reputation in the field.

KNifeNerd,

I was thinking the same thing. They say it on their website and the package, but you can't get around how much MORE protection is visible, and for all scientific means present on the surface of the steel, which, even if slight (how could it be slight if it takes a bit of time to totally wipe it away and buff it?) is there. Am i thinking into this too much? I thought I addresed that in the initial post somewhat. Thanks anyway I am, still waiting for SS to chime in I know they are members here. Thanks again.
