Yes, I bought a sleeve of napkins at the Granite City in Madison, WI last year at our national yearly American Breweriana Association get together but, thanks for asking. Is your Granite City a good one? I have been to two of them now and both of the ones I have been too were absolutely great but, I have been told that some of them are not real good. The one in Madison, WI is really good and the one out in Des Moines, Iowa was just fantastic.

Hey, why don't you e-mail me off list via bladeforums, so we get each others e-mail addresses, that way we can talk about this kind of off the subject stuff without holding everyone else up on the knife stuff?
 
Hey Stomper, that sounds great! I'm always looking for the old stuff if you have anything that is in your way! I would be interested in seeing anything you might have in your collection too! Every piece of breweriana is an education! Later!
 
I`ve also got a couple of extra coasters from Big River Brewing Co. in Nashville if you want them. Do you collect whiskey stuff too, or just beer?
 
Stomper, I only collect beer stuff for the most part but, I have a few liquor labels in my collection. I only collect U.S.A. breweriana too, and I kind of specialize in paper breweriana. Although I have a lot of other stuff but, I try to stick to paper stuff because it is easy to house. I think I have about 30,000 beer bottle labels in my collection now days. The wife and I drove out to Colorado in June and we hit twenty-one brewpubs and microbreweries along the way. I had at least one beer at each of them. I also bought at least one pint glass at every place that had one. I think I ended up with about thirty glasses to add to my collection. Anyway, I will try to give you guys more information on what my collection is all about at "The Gathering"!
 
Stomper's gathering is taking place right in the middle of one of my favorite times in the "Beer Year" Oktoberfest.
I am more of a malt guy and the Oktoberfest style is one of my favs. I do indulge in hoppy styles like IPAs and whatnot
as well but Oktoberfest, Scotch Ales and similar are always on my list.
 
We may have another guest, Derrick called me today asking if his knife was going to be done soon! It will be shipping to him later next week, after payment arrives.
 
Man I haven't been around much and so much has been going on. I am planning on being at the get together if I can clear it with my "Boss". If I am able to make it I am going to bring some pretty pink cupcakes that my wife makes. They are wonderful strawberry cake with strawberry icing.

Hey Mat -

If you want to try to save a little gas, you are welcome to drive up to my house and then ride up to Stomper's place with me - I'll drive my truck and we'll have plenty of room.

May have to change what I am bringing snack-wise as ceviche is really more of a summer thing. Do any of you guys like tamales? I can probably convince my wife to part with some, her family gets together a couple times a year to make them. I get to smoke 30 or more pounds of pork shoulder and they do the rest.....

I love tamales! Back when I had a job one of the guys would always bring me some that his mother would make.
 
Well, it looks like I won't be going to Illinois this year after all, so I can't make this event! My fiancee can get time off work for a trip, but not at the right time to go to this and she wants to go somewhere other than Illinois for a us to have "time for just us". Sorry John!

I might be coming. I was without internet for a few months so haven't been around, but my brother fixed my computer so I'm back.
