That is what is called "pools & eyes" damascus. The ivory grip is extensively carved on one side of the grip and the pommel. This is a very old budhume style kukri from maybe the late 18th century.

It's certainly a beautiful khukuri. Overall shape reminds me a bit of Fox's Folly.
