I have posted my pictures of the Gathering here :

It was a gorgeous day in McKinley Woods - and nobody got pulled over for the heinous crime of doing 15 mph up or down the hill!
Man it's hard to drive at 10mph!!!
I was up late last night making my cajun succotash - this time I used the Drift Creek Gourmet Cape Perpetua pepper and Cape Foulweather Sea salt - the extra smoky flavor was a welcome addition and it came out very good - at least I did not bring any home with me!
Here is the sign leading into the park -
From here it is a 15 minute drive to go the 1/4 mile to the shelter while driving at 10mph (just kidding - I am such a whiner).
The beautiful Shelter - very nice work by the CCC.
darkmatter35, outdoorsfan and Uncle Bill examining viKtim #10.
CBWoods and darkmatter35
viKtim #10 - it's a beauty!!
John's new Ti Framelock -
Compared to old #1 Ti Framelock
A cozy setting - it was a little chilly early, but then the day just was wonderful. Here is Uncle Bill, darkmatter35's wife, Diane, Connie K, Cooper(cbwoods67), Sean(outdoorsfan) and John (darkmatter35)
John and Connie were dog-sitting - Please meet Penny -
Sean with his design, the Trapline - this one belongs to darkmatter35
Connie gave me these two cute hair decorations for my granddaughters - they will love them - thanks Connie!
Fun being had - this is what is looks like!
Mr. K getting some succotash -
Adding a little Cape Perpetua Smoked Pepper
I put some of the pepper on my hotdog - yes!!
Connie liked the succotash - She also made some delicious cupcakes with a butterscotch cheesecake baked inside!! Awsome!
Another shot of the viKtim #10 while on a hike.
I love rounded spines!
Cooper's design (Cooper's Hawk) next to my Amedoin LRK+ for size comparison
Joliet Jeff and his bride Jennifer arrived a little later in the day -
Alien dog.
As usual, there were a lot of knives on tables at the gathering -
Somebody was complaining that I am never in the pictures, so here.
I brought a genuine, Made in USA, Strider Folder at the Gathering. I know it was genuine and made in USA, because the box said so. Ask anyone.
To win the genuine made in usa Strider, you had to throw a frisbee, closest to the target (a large rock) won the knife! Congrats to Uncle Bill, who can now have a Genuine Made in USA Strider to go with his Chitanium Chebenza!
(please note - I know this is not a real Strider knife - please, no hate mail....)
Even the girls had a chance to win the beautiful GMiUSA Strider!
At the end of the day, everyone piled into their cars for the drive home - looks like Alien dog perked up a little.
Another great time - thanks for organizing this Mr and Mrs K, and thanks for all the great food everyone brought!!
best regards -
