September Special?

Bluegill or Potawatomi with:
4 1/2" handle, 4-4 1/4" blade, lanyard hole on an exposed tang, 1/8" stock. (edit for blade stock)

A contoured handle all around woods knife, built to directly compete with the Becker bk16 and Esee 4 sized knives, but in an upgraded steel!

The third knife from the right. Don't know if it ever became an official JK model, but this is an awesome knife. Just melts into your hand and the blade length is just right for most needs. This one is in 1/16", but should translate well into 1/8".

I like the idea too, but I'm not sure what price point I could sell it for and make it affordable, yet still profitable. Nobody realizes that it takes as long to make a small knife as it does to make a full size one, and the difference in material costs is only a few dollars.

I like the idea as well especially because I have been playing around making a pocket hiking "survival kit" and could use a good knife to go with it, unfortunately I've been broke as hell lately so new purchases will be limited.

Can you cut cost by offering a blade without handle slabs or with a rough finish?

how about doing the handles out of an epoxy soaked cord wrapping (jute, sisal, or paracord)

If I were to go with a small knife / K Tool set, what size ( overall length) knife should I go with? If I knew that I could give a price to see if there really is any interest in this idea.

Here is a JK that gets a lot of pocket time compared to one of the more popular production blades
of a similar size and to a Gossman PSK which is my personal favorite fixed blade small enough for
pocket carry. If the blade of the JK was 3/4" - 1" longer it would suit my needs.

Does anybody have any suggestions for a regular knife model? To be honest, the time involved to make an all steel knife and K Tool, would be about the same as making a normal knife. Then add in the $20 I pay my brother to make the sheath, and we are at the price of a normal knife.

I'd like to see a man sized nessmuk. Maybe 8+" overall with at least a 4.5" handle. That would be cool. Or a like size sway back Warnie. That would be an awesome utility piece.

I see a lot of the small knives for the sales, I'd like to see something bigger. My vote would be the GBH.

The GBH (Get Back Home).

Specs:
9 3/4" overall
5" blade
3/16" thick O1 steel
Rounded spine
Thumb ramp
Saber grind

Something just dawned on me. Looking at the "Knives on Order" thread, my orders will be all done by mid August, so there is really no reason for a September Special.

That's kinda what I was thinking to.
I cant really spend money on a September Special along with both of my August orders.

But that's just me. Some of the other fellas may be itching for a September Special.

Just to throw my 2 cents in though.
I would love to own a GBH !
If you do a monthly special on that I would be very interested.
