Sequel Discontinued?

I think there was just one in the exchange though I think it was used.
 
RIP sequel. Almost gone everywhere. I'll miss you. It's a pity that such a beauty cannot have a second life with better steel. I think it's just a marketing decision.
 
Received my Benchmade 707-1701 Sequel with S30V steel blade and Blue Anodized and Milled Aluminum. It looks VERY nice and the combination of the milling and gritty texture of the aluminum affords excellent grip.

However, at $204 it's ridiculously overpriced.

I'll see if I can get a picture of my four Sequels this week. My earliest one is 707SBK from 2005!

Yes, though I felt the same way (or more so) when they discontinued the 705. I still have two of those.

I was tempted, but I came out the same way on the price and decided not to buy one. At least that's my story for now... ;-)

Benchmade 707-1701 Sequel is way overpriced at $204 but being the last Sequel I just had to get one! :)

I just found this knife and regretting its discontinuation... I got rid of my mini-grip b/c it was just a little too rugged for office carry and the FRN handles were a little rough on the pocket. This looks perfect - anyone know of a place to find one?

They are on the bay regularly at 169-200 for the regular version. Local mom and pop shops have them sometimes I know one of my locals do. I might be convinced to let one of mine go I have some new in box never carried or used. What is your email maybe I can help someone out?

The bay also has the Shot Show offering at a premium of course. Seems someone held on to about a dozen of them.

That's how I got mine a month or two back but the guy misspelled sequel so I got it MAP price! Now to find a -1201 I doubt I'd be lucky on that.
 
Just saw that bay ad with all those shot show editions - that's quite a premium!
 
I just purchased a plain edge 707 with a coated blade yesterday. It was the last one (of that particular variation) in-stock from that retailer, so after months of humming and haw-ing, I decided I should pull the trigger. I paid about $160USD before tax (free shipping).
