Hey all,

So last December I gave my dad an m390 sequel. He carried it daily and even learned to sharpen it. A week ago he lost it. He spent two days looking for it and I haven't seen him that upset before. Later it was found and he breathed.

He decided to get a serrated version as his carry and keep the sentimental for safer areas. He ordered me one too!

This is one sweet EDC!

Looks great although I usually prefer plain edge. Is that the Matt's Shooting Supply limited edition version?

Nice gesture on both your parts.
Pretty sure satin serrated is all that remains in stock.

Yes, Matt's shooting supply. He is a great guy. The original I gave my father was a plain edge and I highly prefer plain edge myself. This one is very special to me though. My father has never bought a knife for me. He has also never really appreciated a nice knife. This one was different.

All and all though there's nothing wrong with a partially serrated edge and these look easy to sharpen. For the most part the plain edge area of this knife is all that I would use anyhow.

One day, those saw teeth could come in handy. I can get my plain edges sharp enough to cut like a laser, but I won't think less of this one. It's an extremely nice knife.

Another cell shot of it next to my full serrated mountain biking knife.

Serrations will cut what a plain edge will not. Plain and simple.

Man that's one sweet blade, just the size I usually prefer too! Decisions, decisions ... :)

Yeah man, its awesome. I believe he has number 7 left if you are trying to decide :)

I was going to say that I recognize that handle design... I have #88 of the plain-edge satin-finish ones. Nobody seemed to want the combo-edge ones and they've sat for a long time, but they're lovely little knives. The black-blade ones were gone well before I even realized they were available. I love how small/thin this knife is for something with an Axis lock and such a nice sized blade.

Congrats on the new blade and getting your dad converted!

moving my question from the other thread, does the 707 have full size liners? are they drilled?

Full sized. I will take a picture for you.

If I am missing part of your question, let me know.

IMHO, this is the best EDC modern knife I have come across. Personally I would prefer this in CPM-M4 and no serrations, but its not leaving my pocket as it from my old man.

My dad wou

My dad would on the other hand prefer the M390 since he is a stainless fan. With the choice of both serrated and plain edge in his possession he is carrying the plain edge again.

I have used mine every day and its not bad at all with partial serrations, just not what I am used to.
