Ordered a 2 pack of Serbian "tactical" packs. They were advertised used, but both were unissued surplus. They are a little musty smelling, but it's to be expected for surplus. The size is 11 x 4 x 8".
What it looks like. Obviously has leather straps:
Bottom web straps to hold a bed roll, rain gear, etc.:
Inside the bag. Note the "flap" on the left side:
This comes out, for a bottle holder, etc.:
Easily put my water bottle in it. As you can see, it has a drawstring on the inside:
The inside of the bag only has one small compartment:
Then there's another compartment on the front, outside of the pack:
My 38 oz Guyot for size comparison:
Next to my Red Rock Rover sling bag:
My hand on it. You can see how small this pack is:

I was looking for a small alternative to my sling pack. As anyone who has a sling pack knows, a backpack is more comfortable. The only downside I see so far, is that there's no sternum strap. I'm gonna make one for it though. The straps feel like they want to fall off my shoulders. Also, the straps have clips, and can be easily removed. This pack has attachment rings on either side, and one strap can be attached for a shoulder bag instead. The shoulder pad slides up and down the strap for adjustment. I'll post more when I get a small load in it. Thanks for looking.
