i've heard great things about this folder, and heard that the lock-up is as strong as anything on the market.

just wondering if somebody would post some pics of the lock-up, and wondering if anybody has had any problems with the lock on this knife

thanks
jonathan

i dont have a digital camera anymore, nor do i have pics, but the lock up is one of the best in production knives.

i personally like big, thick liners. example mt lcc d/a,anything carson, and the sere 2k.

you cannot break the lock on this knife.

I'd say they are near if not custom level qualtiy. Get one.

You can't go wrong with the SERE 2000, it does lock up strong, looks good and has one of the most solid feels of any production knife made if not the most.

below pic is of a SERE 2000 auto conversion but the lock and frame are the same just has the added leaf spring you can see inside it.

Fit and finish are top notch for a knife priced so low. I was blown away the first time I saw the SERE and noted it good looks and strong build. It is an excellent choice!

Sere 2000 is the strongest pocket knife I have ever had, and yes I have had alot! If I could only pick one pocket knife it would be my sere 2000. I am in the Army and soon it will be going with me to a far off place that is very hot! and sandy!.

i got this knife in today (a used one).
i am impressed, it is the strongest 'feeling' folder i have handled.
the g-10 scales on the sere feel a lot nicer than the benchmade knives i have with g-10.

thanks for all your responces

I thought that the SERE 2000 had micarta scales? I prefer grip to prettiness, so it's textured G10 for me. If I ever do get a SERE 2000, I'd replace the scales myself.

Ah, you're right about that. :) I mixed up the Al Mar Shrike's linen micarta scales and the SERE 2000's G10.
