I had a great Blade Show, and will post some knives that were professionally photographed when I get them in hand. But I also had the fortune to meet a new maker --- Serge Panchenko. I had visited his website a few times before the show, and had been duly impressed with his simple but elegant lines, so it was good to meet him in person and handle a few blades. Actually, I handled EVERY blade, as his table was irresistable. This was his first Blade Show, and he had a table full of knives at ridiculously low prices.

Serge hasn't been making knives very long, but it is obvious he is extremely talented. And you'd be hard pressed to meet a nicer guy on the entire show floor. Here's a pic of him on Sunday, after his table had been picked over fairly well, with his wife Julie:

And the 2 pocket knives I picked up (one for me, and one for the Mrs :) )

I just wanted to give you guys a peek, in case you missed him at the show. This is a guy to keep an eye on, his work is unique and clean, and he's a real gentleman to boot.

I've paid attention to Serge from his presence on KNET.

I agree with ALL of the above about his talent. I didn't get a chance to see any of his current knives, although I wished I had.

Are you posting P7 images of them? I hope so.

Very nice work. I particularly like that small cleaver-looking piece.

Coop, forgive my ignorance, what is a P7 image?

Oh, I see. (I just PMd you so you can ignore that.)

I don't know if Serge had any of them professionally photographed, but I did not. My reference to such in the initial post regarded my purchases of another maker's work. I see how that sounded confusing, sorry for the poor English :D

Thanks for posting your pictures.

I spent some time at his table also, he makes simple look elegant and that is not easy to do.

Good knives, great prices.

I've liked Serge's work since I first saw his knives with the Keeslar style forged guards on Britishblades.
Some lovely unique designs there and some very clean work.
Also good to put a face to the name.:)

That's what I was wanting to get from him, but no luck. It came down to the cleaver above, or this little dagger:

I got to Serge's table around noon on Sunday and was able to pick up these two. I was absolutely stunned at how creative and unique his work was and was actually torn between which knives to choose-always more knives than money.

Anyway I became an instant fan and have already placed an order for another knife.
