Serious Question - Why do we like Beckers so much?

I have only one Becker (BK11), but am already planning my next (BK16 & BK2). When you think about it, there are many good knives out there; but folks who like Beckers love them. For me, I think it is the simple, no frills, extremely functional nature of the knives. "Beauty is as beauty does" as the saying goes, and I love the Beckers. I confess I would like to see some sheaths more like teh ESEE kydex stuff to the keep the knife high and tight under a belt (how I wear my BK11), but I can make that if I really want it.

Why do you like Beckers more than other knives?

I think it’s just as you said. No frills or fancy celebrity endorsements, ridiculous promises or ego-centered marketing. Just a quality piece of steel that’s designed to do a job, and do it well!
The sheaths do leave a lot to be admired, (though I can’t wait to see the tweener sheaths) but if it keeps the cost down, I’m more than willing to look past that. Besides, half the fun is making your own sheath or finding that special leather/kydex combo to set yours apart from the rest.

Always been a fan of beautifully made heavy tools, must be the German in me.

like some of the other folks, found the bk2 doing a camp/survival knife search a few years back. found it to be the most affordable, durable, and high quality thing i own. i've bough several more expensive knives since but my beckers would be one of the first things i'd grab if my house was on fire... right up there with my laptop and boots.

They're simple, they're priced very well, they're made in the USA, and they just work. That's all I want out of any of my tools.

They're really great looking, are ultra dependable, and are high functioning due to excellent design. Plus they're extremely affordable (well, the first one was anyway... :D ).

The Bang:Buck ratio is extremely high. Quality knives/tools, extremely fair prices. The community around the Beckers (on this forum, for instance) is a bonus.

I wouldn't say I like them any more or less than my other knives, but Beckers are inexpensive, high-quality tools that work very well for their intended purpose. I don't think you could spend less and get a better knife.

I use my BK9 around the ranch quite often and it accompanies me on all my camping trips. My BK2 also gets quite a bit of use. If I ever lost or broke either of them, I'd buy another one.

+1 on all counts here. Beckers don't really appeal as much to my aesthetics as many other blades do. But you get an amazingly comfortable and durable product that does exactly what it needs to, and it doesn't break the bank.

Quality to price ratio.

They are super durable, made in the usa, high quality, very functional and all for a low price point. All my knives fall into that category SAK's, Mora's, BK&T's, Bucks.

We love Beckers because thy're everything you expect in an american made product.
-Well made
-Tough as nails
-Comfortable
-Its a functioning tool that can probably be passed down to your Grandkids Grandkids!
-Its definately a bonus that buying one wont break the bank, but after owning a couple I could honestly say that they're worth more than the MSRP.

I like Beckers knives because of the kindness and generosity of Ethan Becker inviting us to his place.
I like the people on this forum, their generosity and helpfulness.
I like the many of the knives produced and I can afford them.
I still think the BK2 is the best money I have spent in a long time.

There is no pretension. They are simple, no frill, solid made tools that are tough, work really well, and don't cost an arm and a leg. That and the nut that runs the company is a great guy and fun to talk to.

What everyone else has said times two. My BK2 is bombproof.

Quite possibly literally...
