Serious Question - Why do we like Beckers so much?

I suppose I could answer the question of "why do you like Becker's so much" with another question.
What made you marry your wife?
...think about it

Bang for Buck.

I paid $42 for my Crewman 10 years ago. Amortize that :)

Thank you, Mr. Becker.

tough as hell, simple, working mans blade that he can count on and wont break the bank...looks good too, can be modded...what else ya need?

...and I am getting rid of the 2nd safe queen trail master too.
Then when I took my 9 out and as Bladite correctly called it, "user errored" the crap out of it.. I was completely blown away by the response I got from members here and the fact that Mr Tsujimoto took the time to facilitate a return and replacement. [/QUOTE]

you should sent that trail master too ;)

well, perhaps not given how much they are worth...

glad you like the 9 :D

Its kinda funny that there are so many other blade companies (who do make quality products) but due to their marketing and other costs charge an arm and a leg for their knives. How many people here have said "bang for the buck"? It seems that this conversation has come up with my dad in other areas too. Why a Jeep? Always there and reliable. Why a black gun instead of the nickle plated sissy pistol? Freeze it, burry it in mud, or drop from a tree and hammer the ground with it and it will still fire. I'm relatively new to Beckers but can't imagine going to far away from them for these reasons. I've hammered on them and they laugh at me and ask "is that all you've got???". The customer service has been excellent from Kabar and for these reasons alone they are my go to.

I like having my name on the blade :D
But seriously, they're reliable, sturdy, reasonably priced, made by a reputable company-whats not to like ?
And yeah, no delta-force,black ops, mall-ninja-ish marketing, just a tool that works well
